A Dramatic Turn of Events Tour : ウィキペディア英語版
A Dramatic Turn of Events Tour

A Dramatic Tour of Events was a worldwide tour by the North American progressive metal/rock band Dream Theater, promoting their eleventh studio album.〔(Official Dream Theater website )〕 It was band's first tour with the new drummer Mike Mangini, who replaced Mike Portnoy after his sudden departure from the band in September 2010. The tour began July 4, 2011 in Rome, Italy and concluded September 1, 2012 in Brasília, Brazil.〔(John Petrucci on plans to the tour )〕 Unlike the two tours prior, Dream Theater did not tour Australia.
The tour started with a "warm-up" leg in Europe that included a variety of summer festivals and a short number of own shows. On August 1, 2011, near the end of the first leg, Dream Theater's current label, Roadrunner Records, announced new tour dates for North America. The band toured with the American metal band and label partner, Trivium. Trivium appeared on most of the dates until Grand Prairie. The Following shows were supported by guitar virtuoso Andy McKee.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/news/dream-theater-announces-tour-dates-with-trivium )〕 The Second European leg was supported by Periphery on all dates. The Asian leg was again on the capable hands of Andy McKee. On April 13, 2012, Dream Theater announced a second North American leg to start on June 15 in Rochester, NY. Supporting act starting on the Columbus show towards the end of the tour was Crimson ProjeKct. On June 9, 2012, it was announced a South American Leg with "an evening with" format with longer sets. It was Dream Theater's debut in Guatemala, Costa Rica and El Salvador. This Leg marked the end of promotion to A Dramatic Turn of Events, being the final leg of this extensive World tour.
On April 23, 2012 it was announced by the guitarist John Petrucci, during an interview to Artisan News, that a live DVD was on the plans of the band for this tour but refused to give further details. On July 6, 2012 it was reported by Blabbermouth.net, and later confirmed by the band, that the two live Shows scheduled to 19 and 20 of August in Buenos Aires, Argentina at Luna Park would be filmed for a future live DVD and Blu-ray release in 2013. The release date for the DVD, Blu-ray and CD was November 5, 2013.〔(Dream Theater Live in Buenos Aires reported by Blabbermouth.net )〕〔(James Labrie confirms Buenos Aires as the location for the new DVD )〕
